We are seeking a passionate and experienced Greenhouse Grower to join our dynamic team. The Grower will oversee crop production, manage climate and irrigation systems, and ensure optimal plant health and yield.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage crop growth, nutrition, and health across greenhouse zones.
Implement and adjust climate control strategies using Hoogendoorn IIVO.
Oversee irrigation; including strategy and nutrition.
Collaborate with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) teams to identify and treat pest and disease issues.
Maintain detailed records of crop performance, water testing (pH, EC), and fertilizer applications.
Supervise greenhouse staff and coordinate daily tasks.
Ensure compliance with food safety and pesticide regulations.
Participate in greenhouse cleaning and disinfection at the start and end of crop cycles.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in greenhouse crop production (tomatoes/cucumbers preferred).
Diploma or degree in Horticulture,
Agriculture, or related field is an asset.
Familiarity with climate and irrigation control systems (e.g., Hoogendoorn).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and perform physically demanding tasks.
Knowledge of IPM practices and food safety protocols.
