The OpportunityThe Legal Counsel will specialize in contract management and will support the Legal function by providing day-to-day legal assistance across a range of corporate, commercial, and operational matters. The role is well‑suited for a lawyer with approximately two years of post‑call experience seeking to build solid in‑house exposure in a dynamic, multi‑jurisdictional organization.This is a newly created role intended to support the continued expansion of our Legal team. The position is initially offered as a one‑year fixed‑term contract and is based at the head office in Vaughan, Ontario. A hybrid work arrangement is provided, with an expectation of being in the office one day per week between Monday and Friday. Travel requirements are minimal.What You’ll DoAssist with the drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, supply agreements, and vendor contracts.Provide practical legal guidance on routine corporate and operational matters.Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, presentations, and internal guidance materials on applicable laws, regulations, and legal risks.Assist with corporate governance activities, including maintenance of corporate records and support for board and committee materials.Support compliance initiatives and internal legal processes, including policy development and implementation.Assist in managing litigation, disputes, and regulatory matters,
