Experienced Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Construction Worker

Overview

Remodel Masters Construction & Renovations is looking for an experienced carpenter and/or multi-skilled construction worker to join our team.

We work on a variety of residential and commercial construction and renovation projects, so we are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, adaptable, and willing to work on different types of projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills along with experience in multiple areas of construction and renovation. You must be comfortable working independently when required as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Framing, carpentry, repairs and general construction work
- Interior and exterior renovations
- Decks, fences, siding and exterior projects
- Drywall, insulation, trim and finishing work
- Flooring and other renovation-related installations
- Demolition and site preparation
- Reading measurements, drawings and project plans
- Operating hand and power tools safely
- Assisting with a variety of construction tasks depending on the project
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with project managers, coworkers and subcontractors
- Identify and help resolve on-site issues before they become larger problems
- Follow company procedures, workmanship standards and expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe worksite




- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality

Qualifications

- Previous construction or renovation experience is required
- Solid carpentry experience is preferred
- Multi-skilled construction experience is an asset
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site
- Comfortable working on a variety of projects rather than one specific type of work
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to perform physical construction work and lift materials as required
- Own basic hand tools is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence is required
- Reliable personal vehicle is required

Experience in areas such as framing, finishing carpentry, drywall, flooring, siding, decks, fences, concrete, roofing or general renovations is considered an asset.

Compensation

$28–$38 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and demonstrated skill level.
