About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Consultant specializing in soil health and fertility to support farmers in the Kimberley region. This advisory role involves assessing soil conditions, diagnosing issues, and providing expert recommendations for improving soil fertility, nutrient management, and overall crop productivity. You will work closely with agricultural producers to implement sustainable practices that enhance soil health and environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate possesses deep scientific knowledge of soil science and agronomy, coupled with excellent communication and client-advisory skills, to drive positive change in the agricultural landscape of the Northern Cape . This position is key to promoting sustainable farming through expert consultation. Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed assessments of farm soil conditions, including sampling, testing, and analysis of chemical, physical, and biological properties. Develop tailored recommendations for soil fertility management , fertilization, and liming programs based on analysis results and crop requirements. Advise farmers on best practices for soil conservation, erosion control, and improving soil organic matter.



Provide expert guidance on nutrient management strategies to optimize crop yields while minimizing environmental impact. Educate clients on sustainable agricultural practices and the long-term benefits of healthy soil. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations detailing findings and recommendations for clients in the Kimberley area. Requirements

Master's degree or PhD in Soil Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience as an agricultural consultant or in a similar advisory role focused on soil science. Proven expertise in soil chemistry , soil physics, plant nutrition, and soil testing interpretation. Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture principles and practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in client advisory services. Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
