Support individuals in their journey to independence as a Supported Living Program Worker with Battlefords Residential Services Inc. Engage in hands-on teaching related to daily living and personal care skills.
In this role, you'll assist clients in acquiring the skills required for independent living. Your duties will involve meal planning, home care maintenance, and access to crucial medical services. Build personal relationships and provide a supportive setting while helping clients navigate community resources and recreational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach meal preparation and nutritional habits • Aid individuals in learning home cleaning procedures • Supervise access to medical and dental care • Promote personal hygiene and health principles • Plan and engage in recreational and social activities
Requirements: • Must be fluent in English, written and spoken • Valid Saskatchewan Driver's license is essential • Submit a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search • Have a reliable vehicle insured for two million dollars • Preferred experience with intellectual disabilities but not required
