Nurse Practitioner – Flexible / Casual Clinical Practice

OttawaNPservices is a growing Nurse Practitioner-led private clinic seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a flexible, casual basis.

This opportunity is designed for an NP who is comfortable providing independent primary and episodic care, while also having the opportunity to bring and develop their own clinical interests, expertise, or specialized skills within an established clinic.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced NP who can independently assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe, order and interpret investigations, provide follow-up care, and manage a broad range of common primary care concerns.

At the same time, we are particularly interested in meeting NPs who bring something additional to their practice — specialized clinical experience, advanced training, certifications, procedural skills, experience with a particular patient population, or simply a clinical area they are passionate about developing.

We are not looking for one predetermined specialty.

OttawaNPservices provides an established clinical environment, EMR, booking and administrative systems, clinic infrastructure, and an existing patient population — allowing an NP to focus on clinical practice without having to establish an independent business from the ground up.

Flexible Commitment





This position is intentionally flexible and may complement your existing employment.

There is no minimum weekly commitment required. Availability may include:

- Weekday daytime hours - preferred
- Weekday evenings
- Saturdays
- Regular half-days or individual shifts
- A small number of recurring shifts per month

We are interested in finding the right clinician rather than requiring a predetermined schedule.

Responsibilities

- Provide independent primary and episodic care within NP scope of practice
- Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic health concerns
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Provide preventive care, health screening and patient education
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up when appropriate
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Provide care consistent with current evidence and skilled standards
- Where applicable, contribute to developing a focused clinical service based on your own expertise and interests

Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner (Extended Class)
- Strong clinical experience and ability to practice independently




- Primary care and/or broad clinical assessment experience
- Current professional liability protection
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication and documentation skills
- English proficiency required
- Additional languages are considered an asset

Additional certifications, specialized clinical experience, advanced education, procedural skills, or focused areas of expertise are strongly welcomed.

Compensation

Independent contractor position.

Compensation structure may be based on an hourly arrangement or percentage-based revenue model depending on the nature of the practice, experience, and services provided.
