As an Assistant to the Occupational Health Services Group, you will have an opportunity to work with experienced professionals to help support a diverse group of teams at the Horizon Oil Sands site. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and will bring balance to a rapid-paced work environment.
- Job location: Horizon Oil Sands - Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off, 10-hour shifts
- Safety sensitive position: Yes *Please note that this is a temporary position Key Accountabilities - Provide administrative support to the Occupational Health Services Group of the Horizon Health Centre, including the Medical Director, Lead Medical Administrative Services, and Health & Wellness Advisors
- Scan and link Occupational Health medical documents within the medical database system, while maintaining the strictest confidentiality of worker medical information
- Provide relief coverage in the absence of the Clinic Coordinator and assist the Alcohol & Drug Coordinator as needed
- Prepare monthly statistical reports for Occupational Health Services and complete administrative, clerical, and project work as required
- Arrange logistics for internal and external meetings and respond to ad hoc requests from clinic staff
- Support the overall operations of Occupational Health Services through administrative coordination and day-to-day clinic support activities What You Bring to the Role - High school diploma/GED required, and post-secondary clerical training preferred
- Training in medical terminology and/or healthcare environment considered an asset
- 2-5 years of office administration experience supporting multiple teams and departments
- Experience working in an oil and gas environment would be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Respect for confidentiality and attention to detail is essential
- Excellent communication and time management skills
