Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton is seeking a 10-month full-time continuing Occupational Therapist to support the Education Department. We provide family-centered services within the home, school or community to meet the complex needs of children who have autism and other developmental disorders using the SCERTS® Model.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand each child's unique needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to enhance children's sensory processing, self-help skills, motor skills, and overall independence.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, behavior consultants and educators to provide holistic support.
- Provide guidance and education to families, empowering them with tools and techniques for fostering positive development at home.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive environment that nurtures children's confidence and self-esteem.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Passion for making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families
- All hires must provide a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Welfare check and First Aid & level-C CPR
