Job OverviewPosition: Engineering Student (Toronto District). Location: Halifax. Duration: 4 or 8 months starting September 2026.ResponsibilitiesCoordinating drawings, work‑specific scope/trades, trade quote reviews – verify material quantities, hours, rates, and deficiency walks.Participating in project meetings.Inputting/updating deficiency logs and issuing warranties.Taking/coordinating progress photos and updating field drawings.Producing as‑built drawings.Performing quantity takeoffs, coordinating and supervising sub‑trade work.Verifying site conditions and coordinating with drawings.Setting‑up and maintaining record keeping.Layout site lines and grades using a total station.Creating manual schedules, updating schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software,



and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.Obtaining scheduling information from sub‑trades and updating project schedules.Monitoring workforce productivity.QualificationsStrong desire to work in a construction workplace; prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.Proficiency with computer software programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting.CompensationEstimated hourly range: $21.37 – $31.33.
