Water Operations – Construction WorkerLocation: Minitonas, MB (and various rural locations). An eligibility list may be created for similar positions and will remain in effect for 12 months.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and operate water conveyance structures, bridges, dams, buildings, and other water resources related works.Assist in bridge repairs, installation of culvert and low level crossings, line cutting or drilling ice with survey crews.Operate and maintain pumping facilities, brushing, seeding and flood‑fighting operations as required.Essential QualificationsBasic construction and general labour experience.Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools.Positive interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.Ability to take direction and work independently.Excellent teamwork skills demonstrating respect and professionalism in a crew.General knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety regulations on construction sites and practicing safe work procedures.Desired QualificationsExperience operating construction related equipment such as farm tractor, skid steer, riding mower, UTV/ATV, snowmobile, etc.Conditions of EmploymentMust be legally entitled to work in Canada.Must possess and maintain a valid Full Class 5F Manitoba Driver's licence.Must be physically capable of performing all required tasks, including continuous standing, walking, and sitting, lifting up to 50 kg, and wearing protective equipment.Must be able to work in outdoor adverse weather conditions and rough terrain environment in both winter and summer.Must be able to work extended hours and be willing to travel extensively to worksites within the province by ground, water and air transportation, which may require overnight stays.Must be able to work in hazardous conditions (near and around road construction equipment and roadway traffic).BenefitsDefined pension planLife insurance coverageLong‑Term Disability PlanEmployer-paid health care benefits including health, dental and visionExtended health care for services such as physiotherapy, chiropractor, massages, acupuncture and moreAnnual health spending account for eligible employeesPaid time-off including sick leave, wellness days and family related leave daysFlexible work arrangements for eligible positionsGenerous vacation entitlements, increasing with years of serviceParental, maternity, and adoptive leave options#J-18808-Ljbffr
