About the RoleAs a Tax Manager in the Domestic Tax team, you will work with a range of clients across industries, collaborating with colleagues in Assurance, Advisory, and Specialty Tax. Your focus will be on corporate tax planning, helping clients achieve tax savings and navigate complex tax matters.ResponsibilitiesCoaching and mentoring a team of tax colleagues on compliance and tax planning options.Building and maintaining deep trusting relationships with clients while advising them on complex tax matters.Preparing files for corporate reorganizations, rollovers, windups, amalgamations, succession and estate planning, and managing T2 and T3 returns.Proactively resolving tax–related issues with clients and team members.Leading the growth of our tax practice, identifying and developing recent opportunities for additional tax services.Typical DayYour day may include meeting with clients, collaborating with partners and indirect tax colleagues, providing feedback to coachees, and preparing for client meetings. Operations can be conducted via Teams, and the environment is supportive and collaborative.QualificationsEnrolled in or completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course,
or hold a Master's of Taxation degree.Demonstrated ability to develop and present new ideas and tax solutions through exceptional client service.Solid experience in corporate and personal Canadian tax planning and/or compliance.Experience mentoring and developing others.Benefits & CompensationProfit sharing, flex days, RRSP contributions, firm‐wide holiday closure, wellness benefits, concierge‐style benefits, and the ability to work from any location in Canada for four weeks during the summer.
