Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) provides enterprise-wide oversight of the Bank’s balance sheet, funding, liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk activities. The department plays a central role in safeguarding TD’s financial resilience by managing liquidity and funding resources, optimizing balance sheet deployment, supporting regulatory compliance, and providing senior management with forward-looking insight into key treasury risks and opportunities. Through close partnership with business segments, Finance, Risk, and ALM stakeholders, TBSM helps ensure the Bank maintains a strong liquidity and capital position while supporting sustainable growth, effective risk governance, and disciplined balance sheet management. Job Description – Treasury Liquidity Measurement – Analytics & Reporting
Delivering regular and reliable liquidity metrics, analytics & insights based on deep understanding of the firm’s businesses and its client activities. Building robust, systematic & efficient workflows, processes and procedures around the production of liquidity analytics for both management and regulatory reporting. Responsible for quality,
timeliness and completeness of the underlying data used to produce internal and regulatory metrics and reporting. Solid understanding and experience with building Controls and Governance framework to ensure lower operational risk. Measuring, analysing and explaining the key liquidity risk metrics such as the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Cumulative Cash Flow (NCCF) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR). Ensure all analysis is complete and accurate with thorough commentary, while escalating issues in a timely manner. Prepare and ensure accuracy in regulatory liquidity risk reporting, including submission to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) and other relevant regulatory bodies. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field; with the intent of going back to school at the end of your work term (requirement of all co‑op/intern positions) Management Engineering (Co‑Op) or BMath / BCS Science Industrial / Systems Engineering or Masters of Management Analytics (MMA). Preferred Majors: Business technology management, Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics. Working towards a degree i(Masters or Bachelors) in a quantitative discipline such as finance, financial engineering, mathematics, economics, or computer science. Understanding of key liquidity regulations like LCR, and NSFR, and ILST is beneficial. Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage tight deadlines. Entrepreneurial, analytically creative, self‑motivated and team‑oriented. Excellent written, verbal and team‑oriented communication skills. Experience with programming for extract transform load (ETL) operations and data analysis (including performance optimisation) using languages such as, but not limited to, Python, SQL and R. Experience in developing data visualisation and business intelligence solutions using tools such as, but not limited to, Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, and front‑end technologies and languages. Working knowledge of the financial industry, markets and products and associated non‑financial risk. Working knowledge of mathematics including statistics, time series analysis and numerical algorithms is beneficial. Additional Information
This position is a 4‑month work term and will commence January 4th to April 23rd, 2027.
