Warehouse Operations Supervisor
Position Summary The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for achieving company objectives related to safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, and inventory accuracy. This role is focused on leading warehouse team members and supporting proactive operational plans related to receiving, warehousing, inventory control, and shipping product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Schedule: 3:00pm – 11:30, Monday to Friday (evening shift)
What you will do
- Lead employee management and development for warehouse team members
- Engage employment agency regarding temporary labour
- Train and coach employees on WMS systems and act as a subject matter expert
- Work closely with staff on all aspects of day-to-day warehouse operations for the assigned account
- Help drive goals, targets, productivity, and performance standards
- Conduct regular formal employee reviews and informal feedback discussions for staff within area of responsibility
- Act as the first point of contact for customer concerns and provide exemplary customer service
- Ensure KPIs are achieved for customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure employees are trained and aware of all standard operating procedures and best practices
- Run various operational reports, including labour planning for the team
- Support inventory accuracy through follow-up on discrepancies, product movement, and warehouse processes
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and ensure team members follow company policies and warehouse safety procedures
- Create a positive, productive, and safe working environment
What You’ll Bring
- 1-2 years of relevant warehouse experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity
- High school diploma
- Previous experience on counterbalance and end-rider power jacks
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel

- Strong leadership skills
- Good interpersonal skills and previous experience managing a team
- Customer-centric approach and the ability to manage high client expectations
- Experience working in a fast paced, evolving environment
- Ability to handle high volumes, multiple priorities, and competing tasks
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and material handling
- Experience with WMS systems
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and best practices
- Safety related experience specific to MHE, an asset
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
