Job Title: Senior Organizational Change Manager
Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Remote within Canada; occasional in office meetings may be required)
Duration: 249 Business Days with Possible Extension
Client: Public Sector
Pay Rate: CAD$90-110/hr
Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Organizational Change Manager to lead organizational change and business readiness activities for complex business transformation and technology-enabled initiatives within a public-sector environment.
- The successful candidate will develop and execute change management strategies, assess organizational impacts, engage stakeholders, develop communications and training materials, and support successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
- The role requires strong experience working with leadership, project teams, business stakeholders, and end users across multiple levels of an organization.
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, Information Systems, Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources, Adult Learning, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience developing and implementing change management strategies, business readiness plans, stakeholder engagement plans, communications plans, and change impact assessments.
- 7+ years of experience leading Organizational Change Management activities for business transformation and technology-enabled projects.
- 7+ years of experience developing effective stakeholder communication materials such as newsletters, FAQs, user guides, and presentations.
- 3+ years of experience working as an Organizational Change Manager on a multi-year project within Government or another public-sector organization impacting 50+ staff.
- 2+ years of experience implementing citizen services portals and business workflow applications on ServiceNow.
- 2+ years of experience supporting licensing, regulatory, permitting, or citizen-facing service transformation initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile, Scrum, and/or hybrid project delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Agile certification.
- Prosci Change Management certification or designation.
- 7+ years of experience developing and delivering communications and presentations to multiple organizational levels, including executive management, program sponsors, steering committees, managers, and end users.
- 7+ years of experience building effective working relationships with leadership and stakeholders.
- 1+ year of experience leveraging and evaluating AI-assisted tools for developing communication materials, training content, presentations, knowledge articles, and stakeholder engagement artifacts.
- 1+ year of experience using AI and Generative AI tools to support change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, training development, and business readiness activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities for business transformation and technology-enabled projects.
- Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies, plans, and business readiness plans.
- Conduct change impact assessments and identify appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Assess stakeholder groups, organizational impacts, readiness requirements, risks, dependencies,
and potential resistance to change.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create clear and effective communications, including newsletters, FAQs, user guides, presentations, knowledge articles, and stakeholder engagement materials.
- Develop and deliver communications and presentations to various organizational levels, including executive management, program sponsors, steering committees, managers, branch leaders, and end users.
- Develop and coordinate training and knowledge-transfer materials to support successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and business capabilities.
- Support the implementation of citizen services portals and business workflow applications using the ServiceNow platform.
- Support transformation initiatives involving licensing, regulatory, permitting, and citizen-facing services.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure stakeholders are prepared for organizational, process, and technology changes.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with leadership, stakeholders, project teams, and business representatives.
- Work effectively within Agile, Scrum, and hybrid project delivery environments.
- Monitor adoption, readiness, stakeholder feedback, and change-related risks, and recommend appropriate actions to improve business readiness and user adoption.
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI tools to support change management, communications, stakeholder engagement, training development, knowledge management, and business readiness activities.
- Evaluate AI-assisted content to ensure accuracy, quality, relevance, accessibility, and alignment with organizational requirements.
