Rooted in social justice values, we believe that everyone deserves quality care, support and respect.Position SummaryAs a member of Klinic’s Crisis Program, the Clinical Supervisor provides consultation and leadership grounded in social justice for staff and volunteers who support community members’ mental health. The Clinical Supervisor helps ensure our crisis services reflect Klinic's values and the broader context of the social determinants of health. They work closely with fellow clinical supervisors and program management to provide quality supervision and guide staff and volunteers in self reflective practices of their work.



A significant focus of this role is the clinical supervision and development of Klinic's Crisis Volunteers.QualificationsGraduate degree in a relevant discipline; undergraduate degree and relevant experience may be considered5 years supervised clinical counselling experience3 years clinical supervisory experienceTraining in clinical supervisionUnderstanding of the role of skilled self-reflection in the counselling processComprehensive knowledge and clinical experience with the therapy models and interventions that best support crisis, short term and longer term counsellingUnderstanding of empowerment based, trauma-informed principlesComprehensive knowledge and clinical experience related to the following: risk assessment, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, trauma recovery, gender-based violence, sexual assault, mental health, substance use/addiction, harm reduction, suicide bereavement, and sexual exploitationAbility to contribute to a positive team cultureExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)Awareness of and sensitivity to issues of diversityDemonstrated ability to affectively supervise and support volunteersAbility to learn and adapt to new computer programsResponsibilitiesWorks in collaboration with the Program Manager and Director to ensure delivery of high quality clinical service to clientsProvides individual and/or group clinical supervision based on staff/volunteer members’ needs and goalsFacilitates peer base clinical case consultation meetingsReviews audio or video recordings of client calls/sessions to provide feedback and to support staff/volunteers’ learning goalsWorks together with staff/volunteers to provide information to Program Managers for Performance ReviewsRecommends, provides and facilitates clinical skill development through ongoing education activitiesSupports the development of education and training materials across the organization by remaining current with best practices, research and innovations in counselling and social workPlans regular clinical education sessionsContributes to the development of clinical proceduresSupports the management of client complaintsProvides clinical consultation to a variety of program areas, Klinic’s Management Team and across the organizationAdvises the Management Team of sensitive or at risk clinical issuesMaintains knowledge of current community resources and sits on Klinic’s Community Resource CommitteeRequirementsSatisfactory Criminal Record, Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry checksRegistration with relevant professional regulatory associationCrisis Worker Certification (Crisis Program)Salary Range$50.535 per hour - $63.515 per hourKlinic is committed to working towards having a more equitable and diverse workforce at all levels of our organization.
