Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify musculoskeletal issues and develop personalized treatment plans
- Apply manual therapy techniques such as spinal manipulation, soft tissue massage, and joint mobilization to alleviate pain and restore function
- Maintain detailed case management records, including treatment progress and medical histories, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses and medical professionals, to coordinate patient care strategies
- Educate patients on injury prevention, posture correction, and lifestyle modifications for long-term health benefits
- Utilize medical terminology accurately when documenting cases and communicating with colleagues
- Manage time effectively to see multiple patients daily while maintaining high standards of care
Requirements
- Valid osteopathic license or certification in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in hospital or acute care settings, with pediatrics or other specialized areas preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, mechanical knowledge related to musculoskeletal systems, and case management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Word processing software for documentation purposes
- Fluency in French or multilingual abilities are highly desirable; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric and acute care cases
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
