Overview

We are seeking two compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and care to children, ensuring their well-being and development in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create engaging learning experiences.

We are currently looking for someone to fill Tuesdays (2 45-530pm), and Wednesdays (2 45-5 30pm) You must be available for both shifts.

We are currently looking for someone to substitute when needed and from November 9th-13th, 2026 from 2 45pm- 5 30pm M-F. This is ideal for someone who just wants a little extra work before the holidays, or is looking for experience working with kids.

VSIE is a nature based school that emphasizes outdoor time and play. We are a lively team of friendly adults who enjoy engaging with children and staff members alike.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assist with daily activities, including snack preparation, emotional regulation, and playtime.
- Create and implement creative and physical activities that promote learning and development in areas such as fine motor, gross motor, and social skills.
- Foster a positive and supportive setting that encourages children's growth and independence.




- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to care and education.
- Arrive in a timely manner or communicate about tardiness.

Experience

- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the development of young learners are essential qualities for this role.

Requirements

- Up-to-date CPR-C and First Aid certificate
- 20 hours responsible adult course or the equivalent in university level or college courses.
- Two letters of recommendation (please have these available upon interview)

Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $24.00 per hour
