Cawston Cold Storage is an organic fruit packing facility located in Cawston, BC. We are currently looking for an individual who can set up and operate our packing line software on a day to day basis. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in a long term position.
: Packing Line Operator (full time)
Wage: $27.00/hr
Duties
- Daily set up of computer systems used to generate records for packed product.
- Verifying the correct grower bins are selected
- Start and adjust the speed and flow of the packing line to maximize production
- Check all cull belts to make sure that good apples are not being sent to juice bins
- Monitor equipment to prevent breakdowns
Requirements
- Computer knowledge would be an asset.
Training on software will be provided.
- Previous experience in the tree fruit industry would be an asset.
- Robust attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure product quality
