As we maintain our strong and dedicated workforce, we are seeking a new team member to step into this important role. As a Paint Prep Technician, you will work with fellow production team members in our Door Plant, prepping fiberglass or steel doors and components for paint and/or stain. You will be responsible for stain/paint setup, surface preparation, application, finishing, and any required repairs. This role is essential in delivering products that meet our high-quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Self‑directed and able to work with limited supervision
- Mechanically inclined, with the ability to learn tools and equipment quickly
- Quality‑driven with strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate and maintain production machinery and equipment




- Good housekeeping practices

The successful candidate will have:

- Experience with sanding, taping, grinding, filling, and/or repairing parts before paint application
- Knowledge of applying paint or stain by hand (brush or spray gun) is an asset
- Previous experience working in a production facility

Experience:
- paint prep: 2 years (preferred)
- Industrial painting: 1 year (preferred)
