Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishes to cabinetry and millwork components, ensuring a smooth, durable, and visually appealing surface. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where craftsmanship and precision are valued.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Operate power tools such as drills and sanders safely and effectively during finishing processes
- Use hand tools for detailed touch-ups and surface corrections as needed
- Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating machinery like cranes or forklifts
- Maintain cleanliness of work area to promote a safe and efficient workflow
- Inspect finished products for quality standards, ensuring consistent color and finish application
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, or spray equipment preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints or stains
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to support efficient workflow
- Knowledge of welding or machining is advantageous but not required
- Ability to operate forklifts or cranes is a plus; certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity and safety awareness
