Serve the community as a full time Parks and Recreation Worker in M’Chigeeng. This role includes maintaining ice surfaces in winter and caring for parks and recreational facilities throughout the summer. Under the supervision of the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, you will be responsible for essential upkeep of community parks and facilities.
Key skills include a background in horticulture, effective communication for dealing with the public, and equipment handling expertise. Your efforts are vital in sustaining the beauty and functionality of M’Chigeeng’s recreational spaces. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and care for parks, sports fields, and gardens
- Monitor and report issues with park amenities
- Assist in community event logistics and equipment operations
- Conduct regular maintenance of recreational areas
- Perform snow removal and winter maintenance tasks Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- At least one year of landscaping or horticulture experience
- G2 class driver’s license
- Demonstrated customer service and public interaction skills
- Flexibility to work outdoors in challenging weather Contribute to the sustainable development of M’Chigeeng’s parks and recreational areas through this hands-on role.
