GearShift Auto is a small, growing used-car dealership in Saskatoon looking for a skilled and dependable part-time Automotive Technician. We focus on proper repairs, clear communication, and maintaining a positive, respectful work environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced technician who is comfortable with general mechanical work, engine repairs, and transmission-related work, and is looking for flexible, steady part-time hours.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle inspections and used-car reconditioning
- Brakes, suspension, steering, and cooling system repairs
- Engine work (diagnostics, sensors, seals, timing components, accessories)
- Transmission services, diagnostics, and repair support
- Test drives and final quality checks
- Communicating findings and repair needs clearly
Qualifications
- Journeyman Automotive Technician or equivalent hands-on experience
- Comfortable working on engines and transmissions
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license
- Own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided as needed)
Pay & Schedule
- $30–$45 per hour, based on experience
- Part time with flexible scheduling
- Option for hourly or flat-rate pay
