We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a part-time Staff at our main location, serving children ages 4 months to 5 years.
This position would guarantee 20 hours per week for a 12 month period; however, staff can expect increased opportunities for shifts during vacations, time-off requests, and other staffing needs while supporting our full-time team.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, and passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of all ages. Candidates must be comfortable adapting to different classrooms and supporting a collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- ECE Level 1, 2 or 3 certification is required.
- Experience working with children is an asset.
- Experience working in and knowledge of inclusion and child development an asset.
- Recent experience (within the past 5 years) in a childcare environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with play-based learning environments is an asset.
- Current Child Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check, and Emergency First Aid & CPR “C”.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote children’s growth and learning.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that supports the well-being and development of all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and needs.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance programs and support inclusive learning environments.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with all policies and procedures.

Pay: $25.61-$32.19 per hour
