Newmarket

Contract Length: Initial 3–6 month contract, with potential to continue

Engagement: Part-Time Independent Contractor

About Goblets & Goblins

Goblets & Goblins creates social, welcoming experiences built around Dungeons & Dragons, tabletop gaming, creative events, and community programming.

We operate ongoing Dungeons & Dragons groups for kids, teens, and adults at several locations across Ontario. We also run camps, workshops, learn-to-play sessions, open houses, private events, corporate programs, seasonal activities, and other community events.

We are looking for a Part-Time Marketing & Social Media Contractor to help us consistently promote everything happening across Goblets & Goblins.

This is a hands-on contract for someone who enjoys social media, content creation, community marketing, and finding creative ways to turn programs and events into engaging content that helps generate registrations, attendance, inquiries, and awareness.

The Contract

This will initially be a 3–6 month marketing contract, with the potential to continue depending on fit and business needs.

The contractor will generally attend our Newmarket location approximately two to three times per week for content creation, coordination, photography/video, and access to ongoing programs and activities.

These are not intended to be fixed weekly shifts. On-site times can vary from week to week and will generally be arranged based on the contractor's availability, our programming schedule, and the type of content that needs to be captured.

There may also be occasional opportunities or requests to attend evening or weekend events when particularly useful content can be captured.

Scope of Work The contractor will help us with areas including:

- Creating content for Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms
- Producing Reels, Stories, posts, short-form videos, and promotional graphics
- Taking photos and video of programs, events, spaces, staff, and activities
- Editing short-form social media video
- Promoting upcoming D&D; groups, workshops, camps, events,

open houses, and special programs
- Helping build and maintain a marketing content calendar
- Planning promotional campaigns around registrations, new programs, seasonal events, and current locations
- Writing social media captions and promotional copy
- Assisting with email marketing campaigns
- Creating posters, flyers, digital graphics, and other promotional material
- Assisting with website marketing content and program descriptions
- Identifying local community marketing and promotional opportunities
- Helping promote programs in the individual communities where we operate
- Reviewing social media performance and identifying which content is generating engagement and interest
- Brainstorming new marketing ideas and campaigns
- Helping ensure that the personality and community atmosphere of Goblets & Goblins comes through in our marketing

What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can take initiative and turn a busy calendar of programs and events into interesting and consistent marketing content.

You should

- Understand Instagram, Facebook, Reels, Stories, and short-form social media content
- Be comfortable creating content rather than simply posting announcements
- Have strong writing and communication skills
- Be comfortable creating graphics using Canva or similar tools
- Be comfortable taking photos and video with a phone or camera
- Have basic short-form video editing skills
- Be able to organize multiple upcoming events and promotional priorities
- Have strong attention to detail
- Be comfortable working independently
- Be comfortable interacting with staff, Dungeon Masters, customers, parents,

and event participants when capturing content
- Enjoy experimenting with different ideas and types of content
- Understand that the goal of marketing is ultimately to help generate registrations, event attendance, inquiries, and awareness

Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, Wix, email marketing platforms, short-form video editing, paid social media advertising, or local/community marketing would be an asset. D&D; Experience

You do not need to be a Dungeon Master or Dungeons & Dragons expert.

An interest in D&D;, tabletop gaming, fandom, creative events, community programming, or similar spaces would be helpful, but strong marketing and content skills are more important.

Contractor Arrangement

This prospect is structured as an independent contractor engagement rather than an employee position.

The contractor will have flexibility in how they organize and complete much of the work within the agreed marketing priorities and timelines.

The contractor should have access to their own computer and phone and be comfortable using their own equipment for most content creation and marketing work.

The contractor will invoice Goblets & Goblins for services provided under the contract.
