Tim Hortons in Sidney, BC is hiring a Baker to join their team at 2343 Beacon Avenue. This is a full-time position at $18.25/hour for 40 hours per week, working in a bake shop and café environment.

Food Specialties:

Breads and rolls, Desserts and pastries, Donuts and muffins

Key Responsibilities:
Bake mixed dough and batters to produce fresh breads, rolls, donuts, muffins, desserts, and pastries
Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
Prepare special orders as requested
Supervise 1 to 2 baking personnel and kitchen staff
Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and secure handling of food
Inspect kitchen and food service areas
Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies
Organize and maintain kitchen inventory
Operate machinery safely and efficiently
Ensure product quality consistently meets established standards

Requirements:
1 year to less than 2 years of experience in baking or food preparation
No degree, certificate or diploma required




Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination
Ability to distinguish between colours
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Dependable, reliable, accurate, and a team player

Work Conditions:

Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, physically demanding, standing for extended periods.

Schedule:

Shifts including early morning, morning, day, evening, night, and weekends.
