You’ll work alongside a robust multi‑trade team, tackling precision work, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement in a fast‑paced facility.Job TypeFull‑time, PermanentLocationHamilton, ONShiftContinentalPay rate$43.10/hr plus shift premiumsJob DescriptionWork collaboratively as part of a team made up of another millwright and electricianFollow all plant, and safety procedures and wear all required personal protective equipmentRead blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresInspect, examine, investigate, clean, assemble and repair irregularities and malfunctions of machinery and equipment (i.E., presses, conveyors, monorails systems, pumps furnaces, and compressors)Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as jacks, forklifts, and cranes to position machinery and parts during the installation, set‑up,
and repair of machinery and equipment.Assist with proactive and reactive troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment to minimize production downtime and delaysActively contribute to the preventative maintenance program by providing recommendations for improvementQualificationsIndustrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification (433A)Experience working safely in a heavy industrial environmentWorking knowledge of OHSA and relevant legislation (e.G., WHMIS, Lockout, Confined Space, Working at Heights, etc.) and willingness to successfully complete employer-paid trainingAble to prioritize urgency based on production requirementsConduct and complete scheduled preventative maintenance work orders, tasks, and checklistsAccurately document the steps taken and the duration required to diagnose and resolve issuesAbility to work independently and as a contributing, collaborating team memberBasic computer literacySafely perform the physical demands of this position including standing, bending, crouching, overhead work, heavy lifting and carrying.Possession of a valid G1 (Gas Fitter) certificate would be considered an assetPossession of CWB Welding Certificate (W47.1) would be considered an assetMust be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to work full time hours as required by this positionBenefitsDental careOn‑site parkingVision careLicence / Certification433A Certificate (required)G1 Gas Fitter (preferred)CWB Welding Certificate (W47.1) (preferred)Work LocationIn person#J-18808-Ljbffr
