Daeji is a Korean restaurant located in Downtown Vancouver. We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking part time team member to join our team.
Since our restaurant is not extremely busy, this position involves a combination of front-of-house and kitchen duties. Team members will help with serving customers, food preparation, and basic kitchen tasks depending on the needs of the restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and attentive service to customers
- Take orders and process payments
- Prepare and portion ingredients
- Cut kimchi and prepare other ingredients
- Prepare and handle meat and other food items
- Assist with cooking and plating when needed
- Keep the dining area and kitchen clean and organized
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Work as a team and assist with other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience is an asset, but not required
- Basic English communication skills
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Willing to learn and perform both front-of-house and kitchen duties
- Food Safe certification is an asset
Position & Compensation
- Part-time
- Minimum wage + 4% vacation pay
- Paid every two weeks (biweekly)
- Downtown Vancouver
- Flexible scheduling depending on availability
