As a Peer Support Mentor, you will provide essential support to individuals facing various challenges. This role highlights person-centered care, medication administration, and emotional support while promoting participation in 12-step programs. You will work collaboratively with clients and staff to comply with The Salvation Army's values and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and support client well-being and activities
• Facilitate 12-step program participation for clients
• Administer prescribed medications and address wellness concerns
• Maintain accurate client records and report behavioral issues
• Uphold confidentiality and client rights according to regulations
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion or equivalent
• At least one year of related experience
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Naloxone Training
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle challenging behaviors with professionalism
