Job SummaryThe Entrepreneurship & Job-Readiness Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation and delivery of the self-employment program and employment programming at Operation Grow and the coordination of the rental spaces. The Coordinator will ensure the effective implementation of the project and will work collaboratively with community stakeholders, ensuring project initiatives reflect a harm reduction, intersectional feminist and anti-oppression framework.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIESSERVICE DELIVERYProvide leadership and coordination in delivering the goals and initiatives identified for the self-employment Program, includingAct as the primary point-of-contact for program participantsConduct outreach and intake responsibilities to engage program participantsEnsure the effective delivery of program sessions, including engagement of mentors and advisors to support the program sessionsPromote the program to potential participants, advisors, and mentors through marketing and outreach channelsEnsure all project initiatives and activities reflect an intersectional feminist framework and uphold the values and philosophy of Huronia Transition HomesFacilitate the Sustainable Livelihoods Framework tools, including the completion of asset mapping with membersImplement strategies to maintain ongoing engagement with program graduates through an Alumni Program, fostering continued participation and connection to Operation GrowEngage local female entrepreneurs to support and strengthen skills of OG graduates through mentorshipCoordinate and support the use and programming of co‑working space to enhance member engagement and business development opportunitiesFacilitate and deliver Part 1 and Part 2 of the entrepreneurship program, ensuring continuity and progression of participant learningDevelop, coordinate and sustain a structured mentorship program to support participants and graduates in their business and self‑employment pathwaysSupport participants and graduates to identify, apply for and access business development opportunities, funding streams and grantsPlan, organize and implement up to four (4) Maker’s Markets annually to promote participant businesses and community engagementProvide individualized and group-based support to participants in preparing for job interviews, including skill‑building and confidence developmentDevelop and deliver workshops focused on business development and self‑employment skillsDevelop and deliver workshops focused on job‑readiness skills, including interview preparation, resume building and job searchCoordinate the development and maintenance of an online platform or website to showcase and promote Operation Grow graduates’ productsTrack and monitor businesses developed through the program, including progress, sustainability and outcomesSupport harm reduction programming on‑site as neededGUEST SPEAKERS, ADVISOR AND MENTOR COLLABORATIONOversee the engagement of advisors and guest facilitators to lead program sessions when appropriateEngage individual and business collaborators/partnersPROJECT EVALUATION AND REPORTINGIdentify and report on measurable project performance indicators and outcomes to the Program SupervisorEnsure compliance with project funding requirements and assist with preparing reports to program fundersReport on program outcomes and impact to community stakeholdersAchieve financial objectives by preparing an annual project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing budget variances; initiating corrective actionsTEAM AND AGENCY PARTICIPATIONActive participation in staff and agency meetingsWork collaboratively as a team member in the identification, development and recommendations of changes for improved service deliveryWork collaboratively with management, staff and volunteers to ensure effective support and service provisionPromote a healthy and respectful workplaceParticipate in applicable training, supervision and team meetingsPractice open, direct, respectful communicationPerform other duties as assignedAbide by all policies, procedures, rules and regulations of HURONIA TRANSITION HOMESQUALIFICATIONSRelevant post‑secondary education3–5 years relevant work experienceKnowledge of the issues and complexities of the impact of violence against womenStrong counselling and assessment skillsSelf‑employment and/or entrepreneurship experienceDemonstrated leadership abilityStrong problem‑solving skillsExcellent community and interpersonal skillsDemonstrable knowledge of intersectional feminism, anti‑racism, anti‑oppression, violence against women, harm reduction, food sovereignty and poverty reductionDemonstrated ability to work with diverse staff, volunteers and clients and an understanding of marginalized and diverse communitiesAn understanding of the new business supports in Simcoe CountyPrevious project management/project coordination experiencePrevious experience working collaboratively with multiple community partnersProven ability to develop, implement and evaluate work plansProven ability to lead and work with a variety of stakeholdersExperience preparing and tracking budgetsREQUIRED COMPETENCIESTeamworkWork cooperatively and collaboratively with other members of the organization;
