Route Supervisor, Comfort StationTomlinson Environmental Services is seeking a Route Supervisor responsible for overseeing all our drivers in our growing sewage pumping and services business (Comfort Station). This business consists of over 30+ employees ranging from drivers, cleaners, service techs, dispatchers and customer service representatives.Location: 3150 Rideau Rd, Ottawa, ONDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESOverall supervision of all Comfort Station driversProvide drivers with coaching, mentoring and conflict resolutionMaintain the highest possible safety standards and customer service and employee engagementWork closely with the Operation Supervisor & Operations Manager to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systemsEnsure drivers are performing proper vehicle inspections and keeping their vehicles cleanOngoing review of routes for optimization with dispatchFill in for dispatch on occasionProvide recommendations and implement efficienciesEnsure that drivers are performing their duties to Tomlinson standardsCoordinate vehicle maintenance activitiesBuild and maintain relationships with customers.Perform site visits and driver observations. Make appropriate recommendations for areas of improvementEnsure employee and customer requests are dealt with immediatelyConduct regular safety meetings with driversConduct employee evaluations and one on one meetingsActively participate in COR processes and documentationPromote safety in all tasksREQUIREMENTS5 or more years’ experience in logistics and/or hauling operationsExperience within the Portable Toilet Industry is considered an asset.Must have a valid drivers’ license with a clean abstractExperience with truck routing softwareAbility to work in a fast pace setting and make quick decisionsPositive attitude towards and prior experience with process improvementAbility to recognize achieved goals and performanceAbility to motivate and engage employeesWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWorking outdoors in the elements, including rain and snowVisiting job sitesCOMPENSATION INFORMATIONThe expected salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000.
