About the PositionThis role will consist of preparing accurate bottle orders for delivery to clients throughout the Atlantic region and processing samples received. The successful candidate must be capable of working in a fast‑paced environment and meeting strict deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.ResponsibilitiesWelcome clients and couriers to the sample receiving areaPrepare bottle orders and sample preservatives for packing and shippingPackage and ship samples using appropriate couriers and proceduresOrganise, prioritise, and track ordersReview and double‑check bottle orders prepared by others for errorsReceive supplies and distribute to the appropriate departmentProcess return shipments for laboratory suppliesTake weekly stock countsMaintain inventory control of sample bottles and general lab and shipping suppliesDeliver late shipments to couriers and others as requiredDeliver / pick‑up of shipments, as requiredTrace lost/late shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipmentsProvide excellent customer service to clients and couriersClean and manage coolers after sample loginEnsure sample receiving area is clean, organised, and presentable at all timesReceive samples / coolersUnpack and layout all samples from each submission in the order of the submissionLabel verificationBasic building maintenanceProvide general assistance to support regional operations as requiredFollow internal Standard Operating Procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality procedures are adhered toObserve established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and proceduresOther duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor or Regional ManagerRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesGood English communication skills (auditory, verbal, writing, and reading) as requiredAbility to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
