Canadian Tire is offering a 12 to 16 month co‑op placement for a Transportation Assets Analysis Student starting Fall 2026 in Brampton, ON.

What You'll Do:
Conduct data analysis on fleet operations, including maintenance costs, asset utilization, and total cost of ownership
Gather and validate data from internal systems and external sources to support business initiatives
Analyze owned and rented fleet performance, including vendor service levels and utilization trends
Develop reports, dashboards, and insights to support operational decision‑making
Present findings and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders
Document processes and support the development of training and reference materials
Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including Fleet Maintenance, Operations, Finance, and IT teams

What You Bring:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required); experience with Access or other data tools is an asset




Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Adaptable and comfortable working in a quick‑paced, evolving setting
Experience with Power BI, Python, or other data visualization tools is a robust asset

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
Preferred: Third‑year student or higher
Previous co‑op or internship experience considered an asset
Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, or process improvement work

Salary:

$23.00 – $30.00 CAD per hour (typical hiring range). Broadband range: $23.00 – $37.00 CAD per hour.
