Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all legal and safety regulations
- Provide expert medication counseling to patients, explaining proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy plans for diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and those in acute care settings
- Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as needed in accordance with medical orders
- Maintain detailed documentation of medication dispensation and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare standards
- Educate patients on medication safety, storage, and adherence strategies to promote positive health outcomes
- Stay current with medical terminology, pharmaceutical developments, and hospital protocols to ensure best practices in patient care
- Provide professional services including minor ailments and Medschecks.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Pharmacist within a community Pharmacy setting is highly preferred
- Proficient with Kroll
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care while managing complex medication regimens
- Experience administering medications and understanding protocols for safe medication administration in clinical environments
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients about their treatments.
Pay: From $60.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 20.0 per week
