Job SummaryIndustrial Millwright – The position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment at IKO Industries.Location: 71 Orenda Road, Brampton, Ontario, CanadaResponsibilitiesEnsure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on pumps, gearboxes, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other production machinery.Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for issues, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and applying rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.Assist with planning and closing the loop on work orders in Maximo; record parts and materials used,
and order or create requisitions for current parts and materials as necessary.Record repairs and maintenance performed.Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.Maintain a safe and clean working setting by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.QualificationsValid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License 433A (Red Seal Certificate of Qualifications).Full set of metric standard tools.Experience with mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, and welding/cutting.At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to read mechanical drawings.Ability to work shifts, extended hours, weekends, at heights, and in confined spaces.Interpersonal, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.Ability to walk and/or stand 70‑90% of the shift.BenefitsCompetitive salary starting $37.24 an hour.Competitive health, dental, and insurance plans.Competitive matched retirement savings program.Opportunity to join a continuously growing organization focused on diversity and inclusion.Opportunity to work with an industry leader in manufacturing.Equal Employment OpportunityIKO Industries Ltd. is an equal opportunity employer.
