This Job is based in Australia The Opportunity The Post-Doctoral Fellow (Level A) is expected to contribute towards the research effort of UNSW and to develop their research expertise through the pursuit of defined projects relevant to their particular field of research. This position is part of the project under the supervision of Scientia Prof.
Martin
Green and Dr Jessica Yajie Jiang. The aim of the project is to investigate the stability of perovskite single-junction and tandem solar cells. The role of Post-Doctoral Fellow reports to Dr Jessica Yajie Jiang and has no direct reports.
- Salary, Level A: $118,467 per annum + 17% superannuation
- Full Time: 35 hours
- Fixed term: 12 months (potential for extension upto 3 years)
- Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia (full-time on campus attendance required)

Skills &
Experience
- A PhD in Photovoltaic Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with research directly relevant to next-generation solar cell design and characterisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in perovskite single-junction and tandem solar cells, spanning fundamental research, device fabrication, characterisation, and performance optimisation.
- Proven experience in establishing and developing R&D; facilities, including characterisation equipment and testing infrastructure.
- Strong track record in the physical characterisation of perovskite single-junction and tandem solar cells, including, but not limited to, electrical, optical, and morphological characterisation.
- Strong background and technical expertise in stability testing and failure analysis of perovskite single junction and tandem solar cells.
- Extensive hands-on experience in the fabrication and processing of perovskite single-junction and tandem solar cells.
- Experience in physical modelling of perovskite single-junction and tandem solar cells is preferred.
- Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake high-quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
- Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills.
