Overview

Currently seeking a service writer to work in a heavy equipment repair environment.

Duties
Providing administrative support to service department
Scheduling service and ensuring productive process for field/shop repairs completed by technicians
Ensuring compliance with safety regulation
Making sure mechanics have explicit understanding of scope of work/time allotted for repairs
Ensuring required parts are in place, working with parts department
Supporting mechanics/technicians to perform proper technical descriptions and writing
Processing of work orders and ensuring timely close off of work orders
Ensuring customers are informed and updated on repair processes, costs, and delivery of service





The successful candidate will be able to effectively use computer systems and keep the operations of the service department organized for a team of shop and field based heavy duty technicians.

Schedule & Compensation

Mon-Fri position with compensation ranging from 65-75k based on level of experience in a related role and fit for the organization. Extended benefits plan, vacation allotment, RRSP matching program. Monday to Friday 7am-4pm on site.

Requirements
3 plus years of service co-ordination, dispatch, service writing experience in a machine/equipment repair workplace
strong interpersonal and organizational skills
fluent in verbal and written English
legally entitled to work permanently in Canada
