S.M.A.R.T. Tutoring and Test Preparation Services is hiring qualified teachers and experienced educators for private tutoring jobs in Simcoe County, Ontario.

We are currently looking to hire:

1. Grade 6–10 Mathematics Tutor – Barrie

We are seeking a qualified teacher or experienced educator to provide private mathematics tutoring to students in Grades 6–10.

2. Primary/Junior Teacher – Grades 1–6 – Barrie

We are seeking a qualified Primary/Junior teacher to provide private tutoring in reading, writing and mathematics.

3. Primary/Junior Teacher – Grades 1–6 – Orillia

We are seeking a qualified Primary/Junior teacher to provide private tutoring in reading, writing and mathematics.

Other tutoring positions are also available throughout Simcoe County, including Bradford, Alliston, Innisfil, Midland, and surrounding communities.

Qualifications We are looking for qualified and experienced educators with relevant teaching credentials, including:
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
- Primary/Junior qualifications
- Junior/Intermediate or Intermediate/Senior qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Mathematics or a related field
- Early Childhood Education Diploma
- Previous teaching and/or 1:1 tutoring experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation
- Evening availability during the school year

Additional Qualifications (AQs) are an asset but are not required. A Clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required upon hire.

Schedule & Commitment

Our students and families value consistency. This is not intended to be short-term or casual tutoring work.

Successful tutors must be able to:

- Commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week
- Be available primarily Monday–Friday between 4:00–8:00 PM
- Make a 12-month commitment
- Provide reliable, consistent weekly tutoring
- Build positive and professional relationships with students and families
