Product Development, Packaging & Marketing Coordinator

Woodbridge, Ontario · Full-time · In-person

Salary: $60,000 per year

This role requires a combination of product development coordination, packaging and label work, basic graphic design/artwork coordination, marketing support, supplier/procurement coordination, and inventory planning.

Candidates whose experience is primarily social media, digital marketing, SEO or content creation are unlikely to be a fit.

ITN Food Corporation is seeking a practical, hands-on Product Development, Packaging & Marketing Coordinator to help move products from concept and supplier discussions through packaging, artwork, labelling, procurement, inventory planning and market launch.

This is not a laboratory, food formulation, research or highly technical food-science role. We need someone commercially minded, organized and detail-oriented who can coordinate products, suppliers, designers and internal teams while keeping multiple projects moving.

Full training will be provided on our products, systems and Canadian food-labelling requirements.

About ITN Food Corporation

ITN Food Corporation has been manufacturing, importing and distributing spices, chutneys, condiments and grocery products for more than 30 years. We serve South Asian households across North America through our own brands, including Desi, Minar, ITN and Panj Derya, along with premium brands imported from India and Pakistan.

We are a fast-moving, family-run business where employees work closely with management and contribute directly to products sold across North America.

The Role The position combines approximately:

- Product development, packaging & labelling – 40%
- Supplier & procurement coordination – 25%
- Marketing, artwork & brand coordination – 20%
- Inventory planning & management support – 15%

The role is largely about coordination and execution: gathering information, following up, reviewing details carefully, and moving projects from concept or supplier stage through packaging, artwork, compliance and launch.

Product Development, Packaging & Labelling

Responsibilities include

- Coordinating new product and product-relaunch projects from concept through launch.
- Requesting and tracking samples, specifications, quotations, packaging information and lead times.
- Coordinating suppliers, designers, QA, procurement and management.
- Reviewing packaging artwork, labels and proofs for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinating revisions with designers and suppliers.
- Supporting basic artwork or layout changes where appropriate.
- Maintaining product-development, packaging and launch trackers.
- Following up on outstanding items to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Supporting packaging changes across multiple brands.

You will also be trained to review Canadian food labels, including ingredient lists, allergens, Nutrition Facts tables, English/French content, net quantity, importer/company information, date coding, claims, front-of-package requirements and Quebec French-language requirements. Previous food-labelling experience is an asset, but not required.

Supplier & Procurement Coordination

Responsibilities include

- Contacting current and prospective suppliers for quotations, samples,

specifications and lead times.
- Comparing quotations and supplier information.
- Following up on pricing, samples, artwork and documentation.
- Supporting purchase-order coordination.
- Tracking supplier commitments and timelines.
- Coordinating packaging, artwork approvals and production requirements.
- Tracking incoming shipments and expected availability.
- Identifying delays, shortages or issues requiring management attention.
- Maintaining organized supplier and product records.
- Supporting sourcing of recent products and packaging options.

The successful candidate must be comfortable following up persistently and professionally until information is received. Marketing, Artwork & Brand Coordination

This role supports product and brand execution, not primarily social-media or digital marketing.

Responsibilities include

- Coordinating packaging artwork and brand updates.
- Preparing briefs for graphic designers.
- Reviewing layouts, packaging proofs and promotional materials.
- Coordinating revisions between management, designers and suppliers.
- Supporting product sell sheets, catalogues, presentations and promotional materials.
- Coordinating product photography and launch materials.
- Maintaining consistency across packaging and brand assets.
- Supporting product launches and brand relaunch initiatives.
- Making or coordinating basic artwork adjustments where appropriate.

You do not need to be a senior graphic designer, but you should be comfortable working with packaging, layouts, visual materials and design feedback. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva or similar tools is a strong asset.

Inventory Planning & Management Support

Responsibilities include

- Monitoring stock levels and incoming inventory.
- Supporting demand and replenishment planning.
- Tracking purchase orders and expected shipments.
- Identifying potential shortages or overstock.
- Planning around seasonal periods such as Ramadan.
- Maintaining accurate information in Spire, our ERP system.
- Preparing trackers, summaries and follow-ups for management.
- Recording action items and ensuring completion.
- Supporting the Director with day-to-day product, supplier and commercial priorities.
