About PHRBO
PHRBO is a Workforce Revenue Data System — back-office operations software purpose-built for the companies that sell payroll services: Employer of Record (EOR) providers, Skilled Employer Organizations (PEOs), staffing and recruitment agencies, and payroll accounting firms. PHRBO isn't a payroll engine — it integrates with the payroll engines our clients already use and unifies invoicing, worker management, timesheets, expenses, and accounts receivable/payable into a single system of record.
Our mission is to democratize payroll operations software — giving local and regional EOR and PEO providers the same enterprise-grade infrastructure that global platforms like Deel, Remote, and Rippling already have The Role The Product Implementation Specialist owns the client onboarding lifecycle end-to-end — from signed contract to a fully live, functioning account. You're the person who turns “we bought PHRBO” into “PHRBO is running our business,” typically within 2–3 pay cycles. You'll work closely with Sales during handoff, with the client's operational stakeholders throughout implementation, and with our Product and Engineering teams when configuration gets technical.
What You'll Do
- Own the full implementation timeline for new clients from kickoff to go-live
- Lead data migration: import existing employee, salary, and payroll tax data, and validate accuracy before go-live
- Configure client workspaces — pay rates, invoicing rules, approval workflows, and currency/tax setup per contract
- Coordinate integration setup with payroll engines (ADP, Ceridian, Payworks) and accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Xero)
- Train client admins,
and their workers/clients, on self-service portals and day-to-day platform use
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and escalate genuine product gaps to Engineering
- Track milestones and proactively flag implementation risk before it becomes churn risk
- Document and refine onboarding playbooks so each new implementation gets faster and more repeatable
What We're Looking For
- Experience in SaaS implementation, client onboarding, or professional services, ideally in HR tech, payroll, or fintech
- Payroll terminology and process fluency is a must , you need to speak the client's language on day one, not learn it on the job
- Comfort owning multiple concurrent client implementations with competing timelines
- Enough technical fluency to work through API/integration issues without needing an engineer for every step
- Strong, patient communicator, able to explain platform logic to non-technical operators who are anxious about payroll going wrong
- Project management instincts: you build the checklist before you need it
Nice to Have
- Direct experience inside an EOR, PEO, staffing agency, or payroll bureau
- Familiarity with multi-currency or multi-jurisdiction payroll/compliance concepts
- Exposure to data migration tooling or ETL-adjacent work
What Success Looks Like
- Time-to-go-live consistently at or under the 2–3 pay cycle target
- Clean data migrations with minimal post-launch correction
- High client confidence/satisfaction during the onboarding window
- Creates client confidence with organization and industry understanding
- A shrinking onboarding runbook gap — fewer one-off fixes, more repeatable process
