Pension Analyst – TELUS HealthThe Pension Analyst will work within a team that to provide quality client-focused administrative services for our Corporate clients. The Ariel administration system is a robust recordkeeping platform that supports membership database updates, and provides electronic data interfaces, calculations, and transactions.ResponsibilitiesRespond to plan inquiries and requests from clients promptly and professionallyAssist in calculating and processing timely payment of termination, retirement, and death advantages for simple plansSupport the consulting team in fostering strong relationships with clientsHelp coordinate information flow between clients and trusteesAssist in reconciling plan assets and plan membershipsSupport the preparation of year‑end annual pension statementsAssist in preparing membership and asset data for actuarial valuationsApply and interpret basic pension benefit calculations in accordance with plan provisions and legislative requirementsWork with pension databases to ensure data accuracyAttend internal training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and topicsParticipate in client meetings and presentations to add valueAssist with special projects as required to support team goalsQualificationsA keen interest in pension administration and a desire to learnPost‑secondary education (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science) or relevant courses related to Pension AdministrationBasic knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and provincial pension and tax legislation (an asset, but not required)Strong analytical and mathematical skillsA strong client service focus with exceptional professional acumenThe ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with easeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSalary & BenefitsSalary Range: $39,900 - $74,100 CADBenefits include:Comprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and bonus structuresMinimum 3 weeks of vacationFlexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your familyFlexibility to work in-office, virtually or a combination of bothGenerous company matched pensionOpportunity to give back to communities in which we work, live and serveCareer growth and learning & development opportunities to develop your skillsEEO StatementWe are committed to fair employment practices and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment.
