Primary Focus In conjunction with the rest of the production team, the meat trimmer’s role is critical for ensuring product quality and product orders are completed in timely manner. The responsibility includes completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner as well as prioritizing tasks.

Accountabilities / Direct

- Assist with pre-op and set up each morning.

- Meet with the Production lead to review daily production schedule and discuss priorities and action plans for work flow completion.

- Remove fat, gristle, bone, and blemishes from meat products while minimizing waste to prepare them for cutting and packaging.

- Ensures production compliance with all SFCR rules and regulations.

- Actively promote a healthy workplace focusing on positive working relationships.

- Report all incidents, accidents and near misses to the Production leader.





- Works in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and all other relevant government legislation.

- Responsible for ensuring all SOPs, GMPs, etc. are followed at all times

- Other duties may be assigned from time to time

Required Skills / Experience & Abilities

- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical degree preferred.

- Strong communication skills.

- 3 years minimum experience working in a manufacturing or production workplace.

- Meat knowledge or experience in the Meat industry experience is preferred, but not mandatory.

- Ability to prioritize tasks

- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
