The Production Supervisor has responsibility for managing the operations, production floor, quality, and health & safety while maximizing profit and efficiency for the facility.
Key Duties:
- Manage all operations, production, quality, and shipping departments to ensure timely delivery of product to customers.
- Ensure that company culture of respect, empowerment, excellence is promoted and adhered to
- Manages scheduling and walks the floor and keep current on the status of all functions.
- Taking corrective action to streamline and improve current processes.
- Gain a strong understanding of the production process flow for product lines.
- Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues and enact contingency plans as needed.
- Work with the management team to implement process improvements in all departments.
- Reporting daily/weekly metrics of production and shipments along with reason for variances.
- Other duties as assigned.
Abilities / Background
- 10+ years of experience in a production and assembly environment with at least 5+ years of production management experience with multiple departments.
- Experience setting up new lines or departments strongly desired
- Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement training (Toyota Production System, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Strong leadership, vision, organizational and communication abilities as well as technical and mechanical background
- Strong attention to planning and detail.
- MS Office experience.
- Degree/Diploma preferred.
