We currently have an open position for a Production Supervisor to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that daily shift activities align with customer requirements while maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards, implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives, and upholding Contamination Prevention, AWSA, and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train staff to meet production goals, ensuring focus on safety, quality and efficiency
- Assign tasks clearly and monitor their timely and accurate completion
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment for all employees
- Enforce compliance with EHS and Quality Protocols
- Fulfill customer packaging requirements according to specifications
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved,
with downtime properly tracked
- Complete and submit all daily reports and documentation to the CSR team
- Verify that all quality tests and related paperwork are thorough and accurate
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, timecard approvals, and daily production reports
- Ensure compliance with AWSA, Crop Life, and ISO protocols, while maintaining safety standards
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team from Safety, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse to ensure the achievement of all plant objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in operations, preferably in a fast-paced industrial or commercial setting, with the ability to work well with diverse teams; relevant experience will also be considered
- Knowledge of chemical safety and experience using continuous improvement tools
- Mechanically inclined, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment safely and responsibly
- Familiarity with materials, methods, and tools required for various assembly processes
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying defects, dependable, and reliable
- Robust communication and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Effective communication skills to interact with both internal and external customers
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
Working Conditions:
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- Manual dexterity to perform tasks on various production lines for extended periods
- Available for "on-call" duties as needed
- TDG and Forklift Training are considered an asset but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Position may be required to work rotating shifts
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
