Summary: As a Production Supervisor at Guildcrest Homes, located in Morewood, ON, you will be a pivotal leader in overseeing the manufacturing process of modular homes. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the production team, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

- Production Oversight:

- Supervise day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and deadlines in the Morewood facility.

- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to optimize efficiency and productivity.

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall production effectiveness.

- Quality Assurance:

- Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the production of high-quality modular homes.

- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.

- Collaborate with quality control and lead hands to continuously improve production processes.

- Team Leadership:

- Lead, motivate, and mentor production team members fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.

- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of the production team.

- Manage discipline according to company policies and the collective agreement.

- Safety Compliance:

- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures at the Morewood facility.





- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed.

- Resource Management:

- Manage and optimize the utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials in the Morewood facility.

- Coordinate with the Plant Manager to assess resource needs and plan for future production requirements.

- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and resource consumption.

- Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the Morewood production department.

- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance overall efficiency.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in production supervision within a manufacturing workplace, preferably in modular home construction.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Experience with unionized environment and collective agreement application.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

- Residential construction experience / Red Seal Carpenter licence a bonus

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
