The Cut & Pack Supervisor is the key leader for further processing poultry on the production floor for all day-to-day activities and is responsible to lead and implement continuous improvements in yield and labour productivity, through the regular refinement of production processes and training.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate full commitment to Food Safety and Quality standards, which facilitates continual improvement of food safety and quality management.
- Hold employees accountable and drive performance through key metrics.
- Execute the operational plan
- Execute optimum labor utilization by workforce planning and ensuring job rotation
- Ensure compliance with CFIA, OH&S; and other legislative bodies that impact plant performance.
- Execute on productivity and yielding, ensuring record keeping is being measured and recorded
- Analyze production and quality control to detect problems and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure production inventory inaccuracies are corrected
- Inspects outgoing shipments for damages or defects, records discrepancies or damages, reports shortages and notifies supervisor.
- Ensures accuracy in bill of materials and reports any discrepancies against finished goods sku.
- Ensures all equipment is operating safely and effectively and reports any operational concerns.
- Have a continuous presence on the production floor to provide immediate feedback, resolution and instruction to any issue impacting production’s ability to meet its goals
- Ensure Cost Control & Efficiency in all areas, work with Continuous Improvement team on process improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience in a unionised, manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are an asset.
Schedule: Afternoon Shift Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
