Kromet International Inc. manufactures finished metal components and assemblies for the Appliance, Furniture, Automotive, Urban Transit and LED Lighting marketplaces.
We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Cambridge! It is an exciting time to join us as we invest in a brand-new, state-of-the-art powder paint line.

The ideal candidate has schedule / shift flexibility but would be assigned to a static shift of days, afternoons, or nights. While not required, prior experience overseeing powder coating and general assembly is highly preferred and will be considered a significant asset.
Primary Function:
Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver safe, high-quality production results—balancing the needs of customers, employees, and the business while consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance, proactively addressing risks, and reinforcing safe behaviors.
- Monitor KPIs, analyze performance, and take decisive action to resolve issues and deliver results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Maintenance, Quality, Engineering) to ensure efficient, disruption-free operations.
- Ensure products meet customer requirements and internal/ISO quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through problem-solving, innovation, and team involvement.
- Build, coach, and develop an engaged, accountable team that others are willing to follow.
- Foster a respectful, transparent workplace grounded in trust, integrity, and open communication.
- Support new product launches and process changes to ensure successful implementation.
- Maintain operational discipline, including inventory accuracy, housekeeping, and reporting compliance.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all processes and programs are based on the ISO 9002 Quality System, where applicable.
- Inspect/ensure that finished product meets customer requirements.
- Work with the Quality department on improving customer relations.
- Work on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and output of all product lines.
Health & Safety:
- Participate in the Company’s Health & Safety, Housekeeping and Environmental programs.
- Ensure all internal safety policies and legislation are followed as part of Due Diligence.
- Monitor any injuries and complete paperwork as required.
- Participate in workplace inspections on monthly basis as required.
- Perform accident investigations within timelines specified by the OHSA.
- Report on recommendations from H&S; Committee within timelines specified by the OHSA.
- Attend all safety training as required.
- Must have working knowledge of all safety legislation and follow all safety policies.
- Ensure all employees follow company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and report all violations.
Skills, Experience and Education:
- Grade 12 diploma required; post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business is an asset
- Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of production operations (scheduling, labour planning, shop floor execution)
- Proven results in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with ERP systems, timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage employees at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to workdays, afternoons, nights, or rotating shifts

- Adjust hours or location as required to meet production demands or critical issues
- Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor

All staff is expected to be flexible in terms of providing support and backup for functions outside of their and for working outside their normal working hours/location when necessary. Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
