Overview

We are seeking to cover a maternity leave position as a Programme coordinator This is a TEMPORARY maternity cover position. The position plays a key leadership role in delivering services to individual's with a disability. In this role, you will:

Coach, mentor, and train staff, serving as a role model and subject matter expert.

Demonstrate respectful and empowering leadership to foster team success.

Provide guidance and support to all.

Facilitate service delivery across all programs, evaluate and modify to ensure they meet the changing needs of the individuals.

Ensure the implementation and monitoring of person centered plans, comprehensive behaviour support plans and any other required documentation.

Apply knowledge of policies and procedures, including relevant legislation and practice manuals.

Liaise with community agencies

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and caregivers.

You must possess a strong knowledge of human services-related policies, practices and procedures. Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a diploma or degree in a Human Services related field and/or experience working in a human service setting. Candidates must clearly indicate in their cover letter or resume where they have acquired their knowledge, skills, and abilities. The selection of candidates will be assessed based on this information.

The ideal candidate will possess strong relationship management skills and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Duties

- Develop, implement, and manage programs designed to support individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Supervise program staff and volunteers, ensuring that all activities align with organizational goals.
- Foster relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and families to enhance program effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate administrative records, including participant data, budgets, and program evaluations.
- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to integrate best practices into program delivery.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in program management and relationship building.

Experience

- Proven experience in program development and management, particularly in settings involving individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong administrative experience with a focus on budgeting and resource allocation.
- Background in social work or related fields is preferred.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience, including managing teams effectively.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
