Kelowna
Weninger Construction & Design Ltd. is an award winning, family-owned construction company that is known for taking on high end and custom projects. Cobalt Design is the design arm of this company that handles plans, interior design, and decorating. Both companies work closely together, so because of this, we look for team members with well-rounded skill sets who have experience or interest in both the construction and design industries.
The current Project Coordinator position will focus heavily on supporting our Senior Project Manager with all aspects of our construction projects, which will also include some administrative and financial tasks. This position may also support the Lead Designer with interior design projects and tasks as needed.
This role will require strong communication, organization, and attention to detail while performing tasks such as researching products or subtrades, purchasing approved items, picking up materials or samples, delivering items to site, entering data, budget checking and invoice review, tracking and receiving orders, answering calls/emails, following-up with suppliers/subtrades/on-site crew, etc. The successful candidate will be flexible, energetic, detail-oriented, organized, supportive of others, eager to learn, and happy to be hands-on. This is not a typical "desk job" and will involve site visits and errands.
The position is expected to be approximately 30 hours per week on a flexible schedule occurring mostly from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5:30pm. The role will primarily require work to occur on-site in the Kelowna-based office, around the community, or at our project locations (many of which are up at Big White Ski Resort).
This position will also require the applicant to have a valid driver's license, their own vehicle capable of driving safely to Big White Ski Resort, and a reliable cell phone for communication on the go. Having a good attitude and good communication is more important than pre-existing experience in similar roles.
