About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Project Coordinator to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–2.5 years of experience in Canada within multifamily renovation or construction who is looking to develop their project management skills and take on increasing responsibility throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a hands-on position that combines project coordination, site supervision, client communication, procurement, and administrative responsibilities. You will work closely with experienced Project Managers and industry leaders while gaining practical exposure to different stages of construction and renovation projects.

The ideal candidate is someone who can understand project requirements, read and interpret tender drawings and project documents, communicate professionally with clients and subcontractors, identify potential issues before they become problems, and remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Training and support will be provided. However, we are looking for someone who is quick to learn, takes initiative, accepts responsibility, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support & Coordination: Assist Project Managers with project planning, work orders, subcontractor scheduling, project estimates, documentation, and day-to-day project coordination.

Drawing & Document Review: Read and interpret tender drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and other project documents to understand project requirements and identify potential coordination issues. Site Inspections & Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress,

workmanship, materials, and compliance with project requirements. Identify deficiencies or potential issues and take proactive steps to have them addressed before client inspections or project milestones.

Project Issue Resolution: Identify, communicate,

and help resolve site and project issues promptly. The ability to think critically, troubleshoot, and make practical decisions under pressure is essential.

Client Communication: Maintain professional, respectful, and clear communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders. Respond to project-related concerns appropriately and escalate issues to the Project Manager when required.

Subcontractor Coordination: Assist with coordinating subcontractors, scheduling work, following up on outstanding items, and ensuring work is completed according to project requirements and timelines.

Project Progress Monitoring: Track project progress and communicate updates, delays, deficiencies, and outstanding items to the Project Manager. Follow up to ensure assigned items are completed on time.

Procurement & Material Coordination: Work closely with the procurement team to track available materials, receive supplier deliveries, organize materials for projects, coordinate deliveries, and maintain accountability for materials delivered to site.

Material & Construction Knowledge: Develop hands-on knowledge of materials, construction methods, and renovation practices used in multifamily and commercial projects, and understand how materials and methods are applied in different project situations.

Pre-Inspection & Deficiency Management: Conduct internal reviews of completed work and identify deficiencies before formal client, consultant, or project inspections. Coordinate corrective actions and follow up until deficiencies are resolved.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate project records, inspection notes, photographs, schedules, work orders, and other project documentation as required.

Proactive & Team-Oriented Mindset: Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, anticipate problems before they occur, communicate issues early, and contribute to a positive and professional team setting.
