Project Coordinator – Industrial Construction

The Opportunity The Project Coordinator is a full-time, out-of-scope position supporting Breck's industrial construction operations. This role works closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, field leadership, and internal and external stakeholders to help keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward.
You'll support a variety of project and construction activities including project planning, documentation, procurement, reporting, coordination, and administrative processes. This is a role for someone who is organized, proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to build strong working relationships across teams.
What You'll Support:
Project Coordination & Administration
Strong project coordination starts with keeping information organized and ensuring the right people have what they need to keep the project moving.
You'll
- Prepare documents required for approvals, estimates, tender documents, change orders, and contracts.
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the length of the project.
- Manage day-to-day project activities and administrative requirements.
- Assist the Construction Manager with administrative functions and processes.
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly project updates.
- Communicate project plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders.
- Coordinate the resolution of issues that may arise during the project.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs;, isometrics, equipment drawings, line lists, and applicable project documentation.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and tracking of materials.
- Coordinate material requirements, purchase requisitions, deliveries, shortages, and material status with field teams.
- Track RFIs, technical queries, drawing revisions, field changes, deficiencies, and change-order documentation
- Assist the field team in creating of quality documents and updating them
Project Planning, Reporting & Performance
You'll help project teams stay informed and understand where the project stands.
You'll
- Assist with project planning and organization.
- Analyze project data and produce progress reports.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support project schedules and budgets.
- Monitor project requirements and follow up on outstanding items.
- Support compliance with project safety and quality control standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiencies and processes.
Procurement & Resources
You'll support the project from planning through completion by helping ensure materials, equipment, and other resources are coordinated effectively.
You'll
- Manage project procurement during planning, construction, and post-construction.
- Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers as required.
- Assist with inventory tracking and updates for tools and equipment.
- Monitor procurement requirements and follow up on outstanding items.
- Help ensure project resources are available when required.
Working With Project & Field Leadership
Project coordination works best when teams communicate and work together.
You'll
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Supervisors, field employees, and external stakeholders.
- Provide organized and timely information to support project decision-making.
- Communicate project information clearly and professionally.
- Coordinate information between office and field teams.
- Participate in project meetings and follow up on action items.
- Support project leadership in meeting schedule, budget, safety, and quality expectations.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for an organized and proactive project skilled who understands industrial construction and can effectively coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You'll be a strong fit if you:
- Minimum 1–3 years of project coordination or field coordination experience in industrial construction,
with demonstrated experience supporting mechanical, piping, and/or industrial insulation scopes. Experience on industrial maintenance, shutdown/turnaround, brownfield, or capital construction projects is strongly preferred.
- Hold a recognized certificate, diploma, or degree in Construction Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Are able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Are comfortable managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and project requirements.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Have experience with Microsoft Project.
- Are willing and able to travel to active industrial jobsites as required.
- Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence, with preference given to candidates with a clean driving record. A driving abstract will be required.
- Can obtain required client and site pre-access clearance.

Pay: $66,560.00-$87,568.00 per year
